RSPC...oh?!

Had a lovely day with Mr A, don't think I've smiled so much in ages....my cheeks hurt but it's well worth it!
It's been a week now since he rescued Fez the ferret from the neighbours garden, so we decided today was the day to see about a)finding his owner or b)someone else to take care of him (namely the RSPCA)
From a reliable source we were informed that most ferrets kept as pets are chipped, as they are prone to escape; but Sod's law of course...Fez isn't!
The local RSPCA sanctuary were less than helpful, refusing to take Fez in due to lack of space, but did offer several phone numbers of places in far flung places who may be able to take him in.
I think this is just scandalous! They just assume he can be taken care of, despite being told it is difficult due to work commitments etc. The 'what ifs' are limitless but the bottom line is, the society for protecting animals just didn't give a toss!
So back home he came, and will remain until we can come up with a plan b.
