Swanning around

When I first woke up the weather was bright but by the time we were up and ready to venture out it had turned grey. True to our word we went off for a walk having been restricted lately by the wind and rain!!

No sooner had I taken this first photo of one of the swans on the opposite bank than the rain started, luckily we had our waterproof coats on, with hoods, and our walking shoes, so we ploughed on as planned into Leigh town centre.

Treated ourselves to a sandwich and coffee in Costa, then looked around the market, bought some fresh plaice, seabass and haddock. Could have bought much more but we didnt fancy carrying fruit and veg the 3 miles back to the car. We clocked up almost 12k steps which is good.....could tell I hadnt got too many steps in lately!

Just made morrocan vegetable tagine for dinner, Im going to have griddled sea bass with it, hubs having the haddock, with chips and peas ;-)

Camera club this evening.......its been steadily raining all afternoon, doesnt look likely to let up any time soon either :-/
