Stella shot

Well Magnolia Stellata to be precise.......
quickly snapped in our front garden, during the briefest spell of sunshine this afternoon just as we pulled up on the drive. Luckily I had my camera in hand. I had planned to get a few shots this morning, but that didnt materialise as it has been primarily grey, again, but at least dry, so I guess thats a plus!

We have been up towards Preston this morning looking at paving for the patio that will surround the summerhouse, once its errected. I think we are going for a pale to mid grey porcelain with a light buff vein, which will hopefully tie in with the other buff coloured patio areas. We want a contrast......the windows and doors of the summerhouse are graphite, so fingers crossed it will all blend nicely! Hubs no help whatsoever, being colourblind ;-)

We called into Cedar Farm on our way back for lunch, pasta with pesto, spinach, mangetout and bacon for me, hub had welsh rarebit with ham. We couldnt leave without going into Roberts Roastery afterwards for a cappucino, as good as ever.

Hub is currently cleaning the car, inside and out, best be careful not to mess it up tomorrow, I am going in to Manchester :-)

Really hope the weather improves soon..... feeling a bit jaded. Such a shame that all the daffs, camellias (our white one is now all brown thanks to all the rain:-() , muscaris and anemones are out......they look so more vibrant and springlike when the sun is shining!!!

We had an interesting talk at Camera Club last night from the City of Trees project......they want to enlist our help to record the restoration and development of several moss like sites across Greater Manchester to how they used to be pre railways, mining and tips.
Sounds like a worthwhile and interesting project to be involved with.
