Tibetan "Orphans"

The walk today turned out to be entirely in the countryside which made me very happy. The air though a little thin was clean and cool. First we visited a house built by Sir George Everest in 1832. It is abandoned now but overlooks the Doon Valley on one side and the snow clad Himalayan range on the other.

We then visited a small town whose population is
mainly Tibetan Buddhists. We visited the temple which overlooked these buildings. It is a school for Tibetan children sent by their parents for a better start in life. However they can't go back to Tibet so they are called inaccurately orphans.

We then had a gentle nature walk before some hair raising driving back to the hotel. I then had a lovely hour long massage in the spa. Perfect!

We have a long drive tomorrow to one of the cities Jack and I really want to see... Chandigarh, designed by Le Corbusier.
