A quiet amble....
.....along the Heathcote River.
You never know what the day will bring, from hour to hour, minute to minute. I didn't realise while cooking tea last night mum would phone to say R was very unwell. We spent the evening by his side, came home for a few hours sleep and then today sitting with him, each hour precious as it quietly ticks by.
Just after lunch we ambled beside the river. It was calm and sunny, ducks making ripples in the river. It was here in spring R's journey started in care, 3 1/2 years ago and now as autumn light touches the trees the end is near.
I'll pop into blip when I can but for now can I just say how thankful we are for your support during R's journey, there's been many ups and downs along the way and your words always so touching.
Take care xx
