Ball valve in the fuel tank

The grey Santa Fe broke down immediately after I filled up the fuel tank with 75litres of diesel.

The challenge is how to get the fuel out of one car and into another. I got a siphoning kit to use.
After frustrating hours of extracting dribbles of fuel amounting to 1 litre, I gave up.

We checked youtube to see what I was missing. I was. The modern fuel tanks have anti-syphon ball valves. Sigh!
