Signs of Hope

After the bright sunshine and amazing winds on Saturday, Sunday was gray and mostly overcast, the winds calmer. It's got to be time, I thought to myself. I took a careful look around the yard. But no, there were no little blooms anywhere, not even in hiding.

But then I spotted a bunch of leaves that appeared to be pushed up from below. And when I touched those leaves, and moved them aside, look what I found: yellow and green signs of hope, the start of the first daffodils of spring!
