Trees in all their winter glory

Plans for the morning were changed when an appointment for Doreen was cancelled giving us a little more time for a morning walk. After the cancelled appointment Susan was going to take her mum down to Sissinghurst Castle, they still went and by all accounts had a good time.

Meanwhile while they were out I was at the allotment continuing to prepare the plot for the season. Lots of tasks were completed including a small bonfire to burn old raspberry canes and other debris from around the plot. Almost ready now, only the last of the brassicas to clear and dig over ready for sowing root crops.

Hoping to plant potatoes tomorrow and sow the first row of peas and another row of broad beans to add to those which I sowed in the autumn along with garlic and onions.

Today’s blip is a submission for MonoMonday, “Object”. I saw these trees in the Sharp morning light. I suppose they count as “objects” Thank you ApolloFly. My turn next Monday for April. Head over to the Challenges for a list of the themes.
