Beginning of the metamorphosis

I popped along to check on the caterpillars I'm 'sitting' for and was excited to see this one in a hanging state, about to curl and shed his skin.  I hadn't realised at the time just how quick that process is otherwise I would have stayed and watched, but I suspect when I go back tomorrow he'll be a fully fledged chrysalis.  Darn!  I've never observed this marvel of nature in real life.......I'll be watching the others very carefully now!
