Just back from a Womens wool workshop.  I put a message out to a friend to come and do some spinning tonight and we also let the old camera group know we were going and we had a good turnout of 8 women who met at Merewether baths.   We walked around the rocks to do some spinning which is a good place as it is quite safe and out of sight.

I love how well prepared these women were.  They had ready prepared whisks and a battery to light the steel wool, safety googles and hats.  Leigh who was spinning in this shot had her Japanese safety boots on which were a little dangerous (thongs, flip flops, jandals).  Other than that, the WHS would be well pleased with us.  Spinning with blokes is a different matter.  They don't mind if they set fire to their hair.

The battery is a great thing to light the wool I have to say.  It worked so well it set fire to my wad of wool which then had to be dunked in a rock pool to put it out.  A lot of fun was had by all and look at that, it is nearly Friday!
