Coastal walk

Today our walk took us through the town of Lynton and up through South Cleave to Six Acre Wood. It was a good uphill climb affording great views of the sea and landscape below.

My blip is looking down on the Valley of the Rocks.

We continued to Crock Point where we had our picnic lunch. Suddenly the sea mist started to descend and our views and the way ahead were obliterated. We decided to leave the coastal path as it is quite narrow along this stretch , and felt safer returning to Lynton along the road. The goats were gathered together in the mist.

When we got back to the house our view of the sea and the wooded cliffs opposite had disappeared completely. Everywhere looked totally changed. Fortunately after a couple of hours the mist had lifted and everything was the same as it was when we had our breakfast on the terrace.
