Fuffet

That's not an expletive, it's the Scots name for the long-tailed tit and this is one of the pair who have been coming to out bird feeders recently. I think that means they are nesting somewhere nearby, as we haven't seen the rest of the flock for a few weeks.

I'd been trying to get a picture of them without much success and I was on the point of giving up - I'd picked up the camera which had been resting on a pile of books- so this is hand-held and not too sharp. The  extra is less blurry but doesn't show  the lovely long tail.
