The Doddie bus!

This afternoon, I was sitting at traffic lights where the road is being widened at Dirt Pot Corner, between Peebles and Innerleithen, when I spotted the “Doddie Bus” coming towards me at the head of the oncoming traffic. I grabbed my camera, but the shot is not great as it was taken through the windscreen.

This is a Borders Buses double decker which has been done up in Doddie Weir’s tartan to support the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation. This charity has been set up by Doddie, the ex-Scotland International rugby player to help fund research into finding a cure for Motor Neuron Disease which he has been diagnosed with. The writing on the side of the bus highlights ways to Donate to the cause.
