An evening in Honolulu

Today we finally went into Honolulu and explored Chinatown. We had invited Jami for dinner as a thank you for the wonderful cake she made for my birthday. We regretted our choice of a small restaurant in Chinatown. The whole area didn't really enthuse us, it was really on the down and out, squalid side of life. So, with Jami, we changed our plan and went over to Aloha Tower, a really nice venue on the water. The restaurant we chose (Gordon Biersch) was on a pier, with a lovely view of the water, blocked sadly by a small ship. We had a lovely time with Jami, including a stop at a really traditional pastry shop called Liliha Bakery. It was right out of last century and several decades ago.
