Alaric wearing his hat this morning. It soon cleared and it was sunny but windy enough to be chilly all the same.

We tried to celebrate UnBrexit day, but it's hard to be in celebratory mood -- we're just so tired of it, and still no end in sight. Have a thought for the three million EU citizens in the UK and 1.5 million UK citizens in Europe who are still in limbo after over 1,000 days -- with no idea whether their rights will be protected and the risk of no deal in a fortnight. Meanwhile the charlatans jockey for position without a care for the people affected. Still, it was entirely possible that today would be the day the whole of Britain descended into no-deal limbo, so I suppose we should be grateful for that.

Extra: the sourdough loaf I made today, which I was rather pleased with.
