A Meandering Life...

Getting into Hot Water...

For the past 3 years my photographic club has had an annual competition with the Rotorua Camera Club. It is something I started with the help of Blipper (in hibernation) Megl. Today we finally met up and enjoyed a day on Lake Tarawera together with some other members from the RCC who I have had contact with over the years.

The first catch of the day was tiny (main Blip) but things improved after a wonderful lunch. Some of the lake has hot springs and streams along its edges, ideal for a paddle providing you don’t stand still. (See extras)

The biggest trout weighed in at 3lbs (extras) and a couple of others just under. My huge fish got away...

The final extra is to prove we had a Blipmeet. ;o)

Thanks again to Meg and Ian plus the members of the Rotorua Camera Club for a such Memorial Day.
