Daffodils in Mote Park

An energetic day. Walking into town and back for no other reason than to enjoy the walk through Mote Park in the warm spring sunshine and indulge in a coffee and teacake at our favourite cafe: Leah’s.

After lunch I made the long journey east to the Isle of Thanet to referee a match between Thanet and Snowdown. Despite only having 14 players Snowdown pulled off a remarkable victory against a side who really should have won. Missed tackles cost the home side dear. Well entertained after the game too. Probably my last match of the season.

Today’s blip is of some late flowering daffs in Mote Park ringing an old oak tree. Old and new.
