Maggie @ Abingdon

December sunshine at the wharf

A glorious afternoon. The golden weeping willows are on Nag's Head Island that sits in the middle of the Thames as it flows through Abingdon. The right background shows Burford Bridge. If you could see further back the left background would reveal Abingdon Bridge. The red and blue barge centre right is the Queen of Hearts that I blipped at the weekend.

Had to go into town again. Couldn't resist a quick circular walk along the High Street, down West Helen Street, along the Wharf and back into town down Est St Helen Street where there were some fabulous roof top shadows.

I then, at last, found a decent sized turkey (7.5 kg) in the Co-op. Luckily it just fitted in my bike basket!
