When you go down to the woods

A beautiful sunny day ...... but goodness was that wind chilly ..... blustery too! It made the day feel rather fresh to say the least!

Undaunted ..... we went out this afternoon ...... first a call at the garden centre for a few plants ...... then onto Westgate Woods for a bracing walk!

There were lots of primroses & cowslips looking very pretty .... we saw a couple of brave butterflies battling the wind ...... spotted 2 Buzzards circling overhead ....... saw a Blue Tit going in & out of one of the nest boxes ..... several Great Tits, Blackbirds ....... also this lovely Robin who sang & posed beautifully for me .... hope you like him :-)

When we got home we planted out the garden centre purchases ...... then it was definitely time for coffee & a sit down!
