From my strecher

I have read somewhere that Spain is the world leader in donations and transplants. This makes me feel proud of my country and my fellow citizens. Of course there are other things that me feel ashamed of being Spanish!

I don't know if this is true or false, but I know that this morning
at the 'Casa de la Cultura'  there was a small queue of people waiting to donate blood. The girl standing next to me commented - This is nothing, you should see the long queues that can be formed when the blood donation team go to my faculty.
This conversation has reminded me  that those long queues were also normal when the blood donation team used to go to the school where I worked. Obviously only the eldest students (evening lessons), teachers and other members of the school staff could be donors.
