Southport

A leisurely get up this morning. After finishing my book I cleaned the bathrooms and dusted my bedroom . I was going to a photography exhibition in Liverpool but decided to go to one in Southport instead. I went on the train but left myself very little time to get there and in my haste only bought a single ticket on my phone.....how stupid. Got to Southport and noticed this fine looking building (middle right) was derelict, the old BHS. Went to the Wayfarers to see the exhibition and it was like a ghost town, most shops empty including dads guitars. The Beales furniture shop is due to close down soon. Saw one worker cleaning the brass on the stairs with Brasso the smell so evocative. What a down at heel place it's become such a shame for a grand seaside town. I really enjoyed the exhibition, Liverpool can wait till the weekend!
