Standing Out

Every day I search for praying mantises, but I rarely find one. Without a shadow to give them away they are hard to spot. This one stood out because it was perching on dead curry flowers. I think it might be a male, but I’m never sure.

Today was so gloomy that it was necessary to use the flash to get any detail.
