Something to smile about!

The flowers in the photo have a funny story to tell.
We have some old friends from when we used to live in Cowplain, Hampshire.
They celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary recently.
I was marking the occasion by sending them some flowers and a box of chocolates.
The birth of our grandchild, coincided with this event and I must have been distracted!
I ordered the flowers to be delivered last Friday, which was the day we would be driving to Bristol to see Bonnie Grace for the first time.
When the email confirmation came back, I realised I'd not changed the address for the delivery!!
So the flowers would be arriving here at our house, when we were in Bristol!
I quickly contacted the carrier and asked for them to be put in a "safe place" as their site stated several options.
Leave with a neighbour,
In a porch
In a safe place.........
Then I had to re-order another bouquet and made sure this time that they were going to the correct address!
I confessed to Stephen that I'd ordered two bouquets and he found it funny, thankfully!
He said "Well, look at it this way, as it's Mother's Day on Sunday, you will have a beautiful unexpected bouquet."
 They are lovely.
Today our friends phoned to say their flowers and  chocolates had arrived yesterday. A lovely surprise.
A long conversation followed and it was as if they were just down the road instead of 161 miles away.
Years since we have seen them.
Now we are talking about a trip to go as we have several old friends in that area.
Something to look forward to later in the summer.
So far the weather here has been changeable, wet, dry, sunny, cold, and we had hailstones a short while ago.
There is now a rainbow. Photo in extras. Taken through the kitchen window.
Such an antidote to the ongoing saga (unmentionable)!
