TT201 Tiny Tuesday Mystery Item

Today was a day of highs and lows for me! It started well, and I headed to work and in the afternoon I had a meeting with my colleague (who is a girl I work for and who caused me some problems a while back) and my boss. The meeting was due to an error that was made a couple of weeks ago. I spotted the error at the time, raised it and said I thought she was incorrect but she disagreed with me. Anyway, I happened to be right, but because I wasn’t listened to it had consequences. During the meeting today it was to discuss it and what we can do to prevent it happening another time. I didn’t want to say that I had been right all along and hoped that she would hold her hands up and at least acknowledge that I had picked it up to our boss but she didn’t. So I sat there the whole time, willing her to say she had been wrong but she didn’t. I left work, have thought a lot about it and don’t know what to do. I’m disappointed she didn’t say anything. I think I need to bring it up with my boss alone, because I don’t think it’s fair.

Anyway... moving on. A while ago I blipped about me bringing mindfulness into work and this week the psychologist is coming to give a presentation and I am also going to be talking. I left work and went to meet him to go through the presentation and am really excited about it. It is this Thursday. I have 15 people coming including 3 of the top dogs of the firm so need to make a good impression!

After that it was home, prep for tomorrow and off to the pool with my son. I chatted to my friend Jo a lot tonight as her husband has been made redundant and it has been a bit of a shock. She crocheted and I worked on my cross stitch (my mystery item)...

“Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement; nothing can be done without hope." Helen Keller

I am very optimistic about my presentation Thursday... it has been weeks and months in the making and I can’t wait!

I hope you have had something to be optimistic about today x
