Iced Tulips

As the dawn comes earlier, I am prone to waking earlier. The welcome dawn chorus, which was beginning to kick off at around five each morning has, post clock change, become a far more civilised event. But the spring warmth has slipped back into wintery chill as the jet stream dances chaotically over our small island.

I almost missed the opportunity, simply because I was reluctant to leave the duvet behind. But while the coffee machine heated up I captured a few shots of the frozen garden. Here are tulips, bent over and stiff with ice. They will recover, I think, as the Sun breaks through later. The lupins likewise.
