tempus fugit

Fine and dandy

The dandelions are cropping well.

As well as being edible for humans in various ways, they have medicinal properties, notably as a diuretic (hence their old name pissabed), they provide a valuable nectar source early in the spring to fuel essential pollinators such as bees, beetles, flies and moths, and  now research is being carried on in Germany to create a viable source of rubber from the dandelion's milky sap (latex).

Which leads me to imagine the neat coincidence of a pissabed-rubber mattress protector being available for those suffering from enuresis. One day...

Whatever you do, don't dismiss them as weeds.
