Mystery gift

My birthday was postponed today until all the work was done, so it kicked off at noonish.

Out to lunch with Mr B at our slightly chaotic local restaurant where the chef convinced us that the lamb shanks were the best bet (they were certainly very fine).  While we were in there, the weather managed to brighten up, so home to sit in the garden and soak up some much needed sun after a few days of non-stop rain.

Tea with the kids was fun - though TallGirl's determination that I should have the right number of candles for my age on the cake resulted in a fireball that I'm sure could be seen from space.

A leisurely sit outside with the bunnies bouncing around, then we all declared ourselves too full of (lime and ginger) cake to want dinner.
