Waiting for assistance

An evening that didn't go entirely to plan!

MrM had gone to a meeting with our friend J. After they left I finished off a couple of things and was about leave for a walk, with a blip in mind. But before I could leave the house, MrM and J were back! To cut a long story short, J had been a victim of one of Northumberland's notorious potholes and her car had two burst tyres. J's mobile was "dead", and MrM had left his at home, so they were stuck on the moors in the middle of nowhere with no means of communication! Very luckily, a couple of off-duty ambulance personnel had decided to take a different route home from work over the moors. They stopped and helped to push the car on to the verge, and gave J and MrM a lift back to the flat, where J contacted the AA.

That's where I came in. They needed a mobile that the AA man could ring back, and someone who knew how to use it! By the time we'd driven back to J's car, waited for the AA man, followed him to the garage, taken J back home, and driven back to the flat, it was just about time for bed!

So here's the only photo I took all day - Chatton TV mast after dark - as we waited for the AA man.
