A huge event

For at least the last 12 years a neighbour has been building a boat in his garden. The boat on the garden became something we were all used to and we had long stopped wondering why. Then today was the day it was moving . . .

A huge crane arrived this morning and then at 1pm, with almost all the village watching, the boat was lifted out of the garden and onto a boat transport vehicle - ( see extra 1). Our girls arrived late last night, so they were around to watch - after an Easter egg hunt, time in the playground and lunch.

Then we went to Acorn Bank and followed a couple of trails, until . . .

Extra 2 was taken just before one of them fell in and the trail was curtailed. We were soon home, she was cleaned up and the washing machine was on. She recovered enough to help her granddad make pizzas later.

But look (Extra 3) what we came across, and just managed to squeeze past, on our way home. It’s on its way to Southampton, making slow progress along our narrow lanes. And notice the name.
