No 146: Purple Sandpiper

Treated myself to a day at the seaside today. I knew that these birds roost near the harbour in Scarborough at high tide, but unfortunately both high tides today were during the hours of darkness. However, there were a few of them foraging along the sea wall. Other sightings were rock pipit (I think - that would have been a new one too) oystercatchers, cormorants, an eider duck, red throated diver, turnstones, assorted gulls and porpoises.
4 to go!!!
