I was over for my first Eaglewatch of the season- helping watchwhite-tailed eagles nesting on the cliffs above the Dwarfie Stane. We saw one bird for quite a while- it was either sitting on a crag, feeding on food in a cache or circling above. Also a peregrine and a pair of hen harriers.
Back in Stromness I noticed a sign altered by someone unhappy at the closing of the bank branch behind the fence, something that is of great concern to many in smaller towns all over Scotland (extra picture).
