Detail

A detail from one of the Leonardo Da Vinci drawings on display at the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery.
The drawings are exquisitely drawn and finely detailed and I particularly liked the foot and hand anatomical studies. Da Vinci went to the medical school of the University of Pavia where he studied dissections with the professor of anatomy, Marcantonio della Torre and made these beautiful drawings.
We had a Blipmeet with Hildasrose, and Rob, Robvegnuti who volunteers at the gallery and, by chance with StevenG who with Gill had chosen the same day to go , unbeknown to us
LooseCanon had not seen the Staffordshire hoard of Saxon gold so we had a look at that as well.
We had a lovely coffee and  lunch in the Edwardian tearoom , a good day out.
