Doggie visitors

The painter came to touch up a few bits, and while he was here we had a visit from a neighbour who has just got two new dogs. They had to be re-homed, they're ten years old, and inseparable. George and Lola. They came in for a visit, and George and Archie had great fun out in the back garden - Lola was too shy - she stayed in the house. We'll take them with us up the hill next time.

Elizabeth came to take Archie out (she'd just met Trixie!) and we contemplated going into town for lunch, but then JR just went to her favourite shop. Just as well I didn’t go, as old friends from over west had come through to the city for the day on a mission to do with a violin.

So they came for a visit. Just as well they didn’t pop in a week or so ago. Though they did have to contend with the broken toilet seat. A most pleasant afternoon was spent catching up.

JR had a successful visit to JL and bought a new oven, which we'd been toying with for ages. The old one ‘doesn’t cook properly on the lower shelf' and anyway, the clock just keeps blinking and we can’t fix it.

What fun trying to get them all looking at the camera! In every single shot, it was only Archie looking the right way, lol. George is the dark one.

BONUS: Melrose Sevens (rugby) on TV! I must get to it one year.
