Scooting Around

Another poor night’s sleep but after sitting downstairs for a couple of hours l went back to bed at six then fell into a strange sleep and woke up at ten feeling rubbish.
We went to Otley to buy a new hinge for the shed door and l bought some plants from the market.
We had a coffee and a Danish in Waitrose and got some bits that l can only buy there.
We came home and picked up the large bin liner full of clothes and shoes plus two pairs of binoculars from the caravan and took them to the Cancer Research Shop in Ilkley.
We support that charity because it funds the trial Mr P is on.
For the last three years they have sent me letters to tell me what my donated goods have raised, in that time it has amounted to well over over £1,000.
We strolled along the Grove and got a couple of front door keys cut as we lost one yesterday, we think on the train , in the cinema or at the hospital, l suspect the latter, we can check that out on Monday.
At the bandstand a group of men assembled and started singing (to no audience bar one as it was too cold to sit on the benches) and l thought this might be my main Blip but we decided to drive home on the moor road.
As we passed the Cow and Calf Hotel, there was a Mod reunion taking place and l thought ( as an ex mod ) that the scooters looked liked fun.
Didn’t look too much fun for the riders who were sat at outside tables with their parka hoods up, it was freezing up there in the wind even though it was bright and sunny.
