Dark Clouds

After another warm day, the clouds rolled in as evening approached. I found it difficult to find a composition that reflected the drama in the sky. But as the light faded I caught the dying sun illuminating the clouds from within, with the dark trees in the foreground adding a nod to the pattern and direction the clouds were heading.

The two bright patches of light where the sun is shining through seem a bit over exposed (although not burnt out). Even though that might be how it looked in reality, I wonder whether I should have toned them down further because they are slightly distracting and the subject is the clouds?
