Actually saw some sights

Back on track for Martin's visit. Went up the Arc de Triomphe in the morning. This is the only photo I am certain that I took apart from a massive close up of his face. It was quite nice being able to point out things from the top (when I knew what they were).

We then headed to Trocadero Christmas market, being handed a leaflet for the march for gay marriage which is currently a big deal over here. Saw the Eiffel Tower from close up and we were going to go ice skating but decided it was a bit small and probably not worth it. Also it started raining.

Tried lots of different things at the market including paella and a tête au choco which was an amazing bit of wafer with the marshmallow from a chocolate teacake and then chocolate round it. We had a chocolate orange one. It was amazing. I may now have to try all the other flavours too.

Popped to les Halles to get Martin some more clothes then grabbed a waffle which was practically swimming in nutella. Then headed to Bastille to meet people for cocktails in the evening. All very nice.
