Sgwarnog: In the Field

11yo, 14yo managed our first Easter activity, and orienteering style egg trail at Prince of Wales Park in Bingley.

It had been a few years since we’d last visited, and the Friends group is doing a great job of reviving the space. Not that I didn’t like it in its previous unkempt and overgrown state, but feel more like a community amenity now. The egg trail was another sign of that, and the kids navigated their way around successfully.

We then headed down hill to Five Rise Locks, and as it was a bit early for a cafe stop we wandered along the canal to Morton Swing Bridge and back. This stretch is full of nesting geese at the moment but it was this sign at the boatyard that caught my eye; a good blend or art and technology.
