Perennial

This perennial geranium has been in flower all winter. Its petals are creased as if it they have just emerged, but in fact they are like that all the time. They seem to flourish on our chalky soil. It is near the front door so is often in view.
The decorating is finished. Kris the painter did the finishing touches this morning and was joined by another Polish man who fixed the new stair rail. So we are done, and can start to get back to normal. I have a busy week ahead, so it will take some time.
