The Lozarithm Lens

The Old Forge (Monday 15th April 2019)

These front yard tulips are pretty much over but are making such interesting shapes and patterns that I had to blip them. As with Saturday's blip these were taken using close-up lenses for the LX100, but this time with the more versatile +1 filter.

This week's Mono Monday challenge, set by Tryfan46 is on the theme 'Commonplace from a different perspective' and I did prepare a black and white view of my lupins for it, also using the +1 lens, but it lost out to the tulips (now in Extras).

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac - My Heart Beat Like A Hammer (recorded 11 December 1967, CBS Studios, London)
When Fleetwood Mac were formed in 1967 Peter Green was adamant that the line-up should include a second guitarist, to take the spotlight away from him. Slide guitar player extraordinaire Jeremy Spencer was the successfull candidate and this track, which he wrote, opened their debut album. He was a massive fan and exponent of Elmore James and this pastiche almost outdoes his hero in style and passion.
Bob Harris, standing in for Cerys Matthews, played this on the Radio 2 Blues Show this evening.
