Out round the mean streets of Newhaven with AJ! This was after we’d assisted in hoisting a few masts and getting my own off the rack and in the queue.
There was another cup semi final on TV to catch as well as a pint. But not in the Starbank. Though I did catch scampi and chips. And not in the Harbour Inn either. And at that point we realised it wasn’t going to happen - Aberdeen were down to 10 men and 2-0 down. Oh well, it’ll still be a day out.
And then a text from Chris K saying there was live music on up at the Village, a short bus ride away, and onward we did travel. The music was excellent- so good the room was packed; so we sat in the adjoining room where we could hear it quite well enough. And soon it was drowned out by our own noisy chatter. And I was chauffeured home!
