Life's Little Moments

By dbifulco

Did you see that?

Did you see those two Blippers?  Pointing their long lenses at anything and everything?

It was another brilliant day with Hillyblips and her Hubs.  We spent the morning at Wakodahatchee Wetlands at the wonderful wild bird rookery.  The morning light was a little harsh, though, so we decided to make a return visit later in the afternoon when the light was much better.  Wood storks and anhingas hanging from every bush and tree; and a few random nests of Great Egrets.  Both cameras were on fire photographing these adorable Egret twins - can you blame us?  Seen here, the twosome was taking on a much larger adult Wood Stork who'd managed to irk them somehow.

Other highlights of the day ... seeing an adult Anhinga completely swallow the head of it's nestling whilst feeding it...Red-winged blackbirds feeding tiny babies in the nest ... and so much more.  Be sure to check out Hilly's journal too.

Signing off for the day from Florida...
