A very good day!

Today at 8:30AM at Old Government House, we had a very special  Ministerial Announcement from 4 politicians. 2 Federal members with one being the Minister for Cities, and the state minister for the Environment and our local politician Sam Duluk.

In the photo on the left is the Federal Minister for Cities, Urban Infrastructure and Population Alan Tudge. Next to him is South Aussie federal member Nicolle Flint, then state minister David Speirs and next to him is Sam Duluk, local member for Waite. Then in red is our President of OGH Dene Cordes, and finally the President of Friends of Belair.

We at OGH had our federal funding for $100,000 affirmed, and Friends of Belair National Park got funding for a new kitchen in our Volunteer Centre to the tune of $35,000 and a further $30,000 for Bush Care.

We were all extremely happy and proud that our work and efforts are being recognised and encouraged by these grants. Our own money is to upgrade the kitchen and general improvements to our Coach House, and also to help restore our Victorian Heritage Garden.
