Beneath The Ash

I noticed these mosses glowing in the soft sunlight poking through the clouds as they came to life underneath one of the ash trees. Sadly we're losing the ash trees to ash borer beetle and although we've had many treated, this one is earmarked to go.

I got down as low as I could manage and used a fairly long focal length to bring this miniature world into view. Even a small aperture only allowed sharpness for some of the moss which I think emphasises the small scale of the scene.
