Rejuvenation

It was supposed to rain heavily all day with thunderstorms, but in the end it did not and I could walk around happily. However, it was overcast.

At last I found something about which I could "tell a storey", which we are often encouraged to look for in our photographs. Here, it is rebirth of life on the lake margins with new growth in resplendent green against a backdrop of old dead fading yellow reeds. Slowly it will all begin the annual cycle, but here is the start.

I found this unexpectedly difficult to edit in order to give more emphasis to the green in the foreground. Possibly because green is a darker hue and yellow lighter? It's all part of the learning process.
