The Old Forge (Thursday 18th April 2019)

The young Camellia in the front yard has continued to bloom since its first flower last week, and has unexpectedly produced flowers of different colours. I didn't know camellias did this, but it is a welcome development. From what I can tell it is Camellia Japonica, and the pink banded flowers seem to be the cultivar 'Lavinia Maggi'.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Sandy Denny - The Lady (recorded live for Sound Circus, the Royalty Theatre, London, 27 November 1977)
Following from yesterday's Sandy Denny album, today's album was Gold Dust (The Final Concert - Live At The Royalty), a recording of her final live performance that was not released until 1998. A technical fault with the recording meant that guitars and vocals were removed from the multi-track and overdubbed with different musicians 20 years later, but the track I have picked, originally from her 1972 album Sandy, is a solo performance, just Sandy Denny singing and playing piano.
