Wanderings & Witterings

Friday

My day started by taking part in the Good Friday Walk of Witness, organised by Cumbernauld Churches Together, around Cumbernauld Town Centre.

At the end of the walk there was a buffet lunch, arranged by the folks at Cumbernauld United Reformed Church, and that was much appreciated as I was heading straight down afterwards to take part in the Good Friday Vigil at my own church. It runs from 12 noon until 3pm and I had readings to do at 1pm and again at 2pm. I got there with about ten minutes to spare before my first 'slot'.

This photo, taken after the vigil had ended, is a detail from one of the fine stained glass windows at Cumbernauld Old Parish Church, back-lit by the bright sunshine outside.

Church duties over, a short drive over to Kilsyth followed to buy some groceries and then it was time to relax and chill.
