Bluebell woods

Mum and I had a lovely walk along the river this morning in glorious sunshine and wonderfully high temperatures. There wasn't much wildlife to be seen - although we did see the kingfisher - there were far too many people enjoying the glorious weather for the wildlife to hang around but that was okay - it was good to see families out on bicycles and dogs splashing in the water at the beach areas and everyone generally having a good time.

This afternoon we went to the bluebell woods, which are now looking spectacular. This year they have been fenced off to allow the trees to recover from disease. This makes it harder to get the photos I would like but the plus side is that the bluebells remain untrampled.

It had to be the bluebells for my blip, it being Flower Friday. Thanks very much for hosting, Anni!
