A lone voice in the wilderness

Well at Montezuma national Wildlife Refuge anyway...and he was the only pie billed grebe we saw today. He was so darn cute though.He was calling out for a lady friend (cow cow cow cow cowww,rising intonation). So he has 2 photos in extra. One is another pic of him calling , and the second is him preening.It was another classic NYS day with gray skies, no contrast and ,you guessed it , RAIN.
