The Patient Driver

Our eldest gifted us a trip to a local micro-brewery (http://bespokebrewery.co.uk) some time ago, but for various reasons we had to put it off and off again. Today, we managed it,. on a splendidly sunny afternoon.

Of course, the difficulties of touring a brewery having first driven to it had not escaped us and, bless her, Janet realised I would cry and agreed to be the driver. I now owe her big time, because the tour was not bad at all.

It began with a triplet of taster glasses, and I chose a thick and dark stout, a golden pale ale and a rather nice session beer. We then toured the small and modern brewery, which stands on the site of the larger but now defunct Wintles brewery.

After the tour it was time to try a pint or two and of course Janet passed hers to me, and that allowed me to try the other two main offerings. Then it was off home, and Janet wanted directions. Well, I got her to the M5 before gently entering a meditative state...

...and woke up as we passed a sign saying West Midlands! Honestly, you'd think she would know her north and south. LOL. Anyhow, that's two days that have involved a modicum of alcohol, and tomorrow it's lunch at the Sheol ranch.

What could possibly go wring?
