London

We took the train to London today.  It was an early start, 9:15 from Warwick Parkway, but it gave us a full day in the city.  Emma and Andy met us at Marylebone and we walked over to Regent's Park to have a wander round the lake and a drink in one of the cafes.  The park was quite busy though I did manage this peaceful scene; one of their herons was standing in the flower bed at the entrance, see extra.

From there we had lunch at Natural Kitchen in Marylebone.  Andy then had to leave to see to Luna left at home and we took the tube to Trafalgar Square and visited the National Portrait Gallery.  It was my first visit, I was quite impressed, always in the past considering it maybe a bit boring compared to the National Gallery. There is also a very good portrait photographic collection.

We ended the afternoon with a drink in Pret, then back home.
